What are the goals and activities of the Evaluation phase?
The Evaluation phase involves examining the extent to which the performance objectives are achieved. This phase ideally is performed in tandem with the Design phase. We work with clients to identify what needs to be measured and the methods we will use to gather results data. Data is typically captured on the learner’s reaction, the knowledge gained, and the transfer of skills to the job. This data is then analyzed and reported to our clients and their key stakeholders.
Key Activities:
• Determining level of evaluation required • Determining measurement methods
• Developing measurement instruments/approaches • Gathering and analyzing evaluation data • Reporting evaluation data to clients/stakeholders • Engaging clients/stakeholders during this phase
